ABOUT US
WKU K1 South Africa is a national governing body for K1 rules that's affiliated to the World Kickboxing Union (WKU) and an official member of the Global Combat Sports Organization (GCO) and the Kickboxing Organization of South Africa (KOSA). All our members have access to dual membership to KOSA and WKU K1 South Africa.
Our focus is on growing, uplifting, and regulating K1 throughout the country by creating a platform that makes the sport more accessible, reduces the cost of participation, and creates equal opportunities for everyone.
With our focus being Fight Night promotions and title fights, our model has been specifically designed to provide all levels of athletes with a development path that prepares them for a potential professional career in the sport.
OPPORTUNITIES
We create big local and international opportunities for all our athletes. All our modes of participation take place inside the ring and it provides athletes with the opportunity to develop their skills, conditioning, and mental strength before transitioning to Normal K1 Rules.

Our unique K1 Curriculum is available to instructors who want to become licensed WKU K1 SA Instructors. Once licensed, instructors gain access to online training content and a detailed curriculum that covers K1 techniques, combinations, and sparring strategies that range from white belt to black belt.
Our support network is designed to empower athletes, coaches, officials, event organizers and gym owners with a variety of benefits that lowers the cost of the sport and empowers them to make successful careers in K1. Being a member of WKU K1 South Africa, you will gain full access to our Support Network that will give you discounted and free services provided by our partners.
ATHLETE's DAY
WKU K1 South Africa is all about developing, uplifting, and supporting its athletes. Our vision is to be a support structure that makes it easier for them to compete in the sport that they love and empowering them to chase their dreams and achieve greatness.
The Athlete's Day is dedicated to assisting all our athletes in getting ready for all the opportunities that will arise in the next 12 months.
